Context:
The IT OPS Engineer is the main guarantor of production throughout the project lifecycle. They play a key role in addressing production requirements and contribute to defining technical solutions, ensuring their implementation within IT teams. They are responsible for maintaining the stability of non-production and production environments. Activities follow an Agile and DevOps approach, including the implementation of technical user stories and continuous backlog management.
- Application Migration to the Cloud:
- Perform the migration of external Windows-based software (e.g., SAS, Qlik, BO, etc.) and .NET applications to the company’s cloud infrastructure, in collaboration with cloud infrastructure teams.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of cloud migration standards
- Definition of Technical Solutions:
- Promote the use of existing services to optimize costs and implementation timelines, integrating operational requirements into the project backlog.
- Recommend reusable solutions where new developments are needed.
- Anticipate compliance, architecture standards, and cybersecurity requirements when selecting technical solutions.
- Work closely with product and delivery teams depending on project needs.
- Technical Implementation:
- Collaborate with various IT and operational stakeholders.
- Set up appropriate logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms in coordination with SRE teams.
- Ensure availability of production resources (environments, monitoring, performance) and infrastructure to support solution deployment.
- Acquire sufficient application knowledge to detect and troubleshoot bottlenecks (e.g., data flows, security, network).
- Provision all required infrastructure elements such as platforms, data flows, databases, middleware, certificates, and network access.
- Perform technical testing (e.g., performance, recovery) before production release.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed prior to go-live.
- Monitor and manage activities in the project backlog.
Define Incident & Continuity Plans with application stakeholders.
Manage and follow up on changes and incidents related to the application scope.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (mainly RHEL, Windows), application servers (Apache/Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss), and other components (CFT, MQ Series, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MicroFocus, F5, etc.).
- Familiarity with automation and industrialization tools: Autosys (scheduling), Jenkins, Git, Ansible Tower, etc.
- Certified on cloud ecosystems (e.g., IBM Cloud bronze-level or equivalent).
Knowledge of Java development and frameworks is an advantage. - Full professional proficiency in French and English.
