Context:
The Scrum Master's role encompasses ensuring a comprehensive understanding and implementation of Agile principles, with a specific focus on the Scrum framework. Their responsibilities include ensuring the team's adherence to Scrum practices, fostering a culture aligned with Scrum values, and facilitating comprehension of the framework's theory, practices, and guidelines. Functioning as a servant-leader within the team, the Scrum Master aids in clarifying beneficial interactions between external parties and the team, guiding adjustments to enhance team performance. They also motivate the team to pursue excellence in quality, user satisfaction, value delivery, and overall team engagement.
Main responsibilities:
- Offers leadership in fostering the adoption of Agile practices, culture, and values across various project portfolios.
- Advocates for and reinforces the utilization of the Scrum framework, tools, and methodologies.
- Facilitates Scrum ceremonies as necessary and as requested.
- Serves as the liaison between teams and the organization, ensuring appropriate skill sets are allocated for efficient product development.
- Implements risk monitoring, progress tracking, and performance indicators, coordinating with Product Owners from Business Lines and the IT Department.
- Continuously enhances operational methodologies.
- Streamlines dependency management.
- Mediates problem resolution and conflict resolution.
- Upholds responsibility for maintaining the operational quality of IT product(s) at optimal levels.
- Oversees operational quality management throughout the product's lifecycle, including maintenance, availability, incident management, and obsolescence.
- Ensures effective team management.
- Validates and reports resource forecast and costs.
- Assists the Product Owner in achieving product objectives through Scrum methodologies.
- Guides the Product Owner in maintaining focus on value creation and customer alignment.
- Provides support in understanding product planning within an empirical environment.
- Ensures Product Backlog optimization for maximum value.
- Enhances team efficiency and deliverable quality through Agile best practices.
- Motivates the team, embodying a positive and constructive mindset aligned with Agile principles
- Facilitates obstacle removal and consensus-building within the team.
- Coaches the team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Shields the team from external disruptions.
- Supports the team in creating high-value products.
- Emphasizes the importance of clear and concise User Stories.
- Coordinates Agile artifacts delivery and develops Agile dashboards to track progress.
- Communicates development progress effectively.
- Cultivates a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Provides coaching to the Development Team in organizations where Scrum adoption is still evolving.
- Guides and coaches the organization in adopting SAFe, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Helps employees and stakeholders understand and implement Scrum and empirical product development.
- Initiates changes to enhance Scrum Team productivity.
- Collaborates with other Scrum Masters to optimize Scrum implementation across the organization.
What we are looking for :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile projects.
- Fluency in English and French.
- SAFe experience and/or certification is considered advantageous
- Comprehensive understanding and application of the Agile Manifesto and Agile methodologies, both in theory and practice.
- Familiarity with technical practices such as Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, and DevOps.
- Proficiency in utilizing Jira and Confluence.
- Capable of empowering teams to consistently enhance product value.
- Demonstrated ability to approach problem-solving with creativity and analytical thinking.
- Track record of success in dynamic, collaborative, and iterative product development environments.
- Enjoyment in working with individuals, facilitating collaboration and teamwork.
- Possesses an empowering attitude towards team building.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
