About the role: We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our Digital Infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, evaluate, and govern architecture solutions. You will ensure scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Main responsibilities:
o Define and maintain enterprise architecture patterns; contribute to the internal architecture catalogue.
o Conduct architectural trade-off analyses (cost, scalability, maintainability, security, time-to-market).
o Decide between third-party solutions and in-house development; establish hosting strategies and constraints.
o Produce and review architecture documentation.
o Design secure inter-zone connectivity (landing zones, hub-and-spoke, shared VPC, private connectivity).
o Manage complex network architectures (segmentation, filtering rules, DMZ, load balancing, proxies).
o Lead implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerisation, and secrets management.
o Ensure system observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) and drive cost optimisation (FinOps).
What we are looking for :
Hosting Environments
o Cloud: GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, VPC, PSC, IAM)
o On-Premises, Edge, and Factory environments
o Enterprise cloud patterns (landing zones, hub-and-spoke, shared VPC, Interconnect/VPN)
o Industrial constraints (latency, limited connectivity, local high availability)
o Kubernetes deployment and lifecycle management (on-prem and edge)
Networking
o Design and manage advanced network flows (routing, segmentation, filtering, DMZ, load balancing)
o Secure inter-zone communication (API exposure, proxies, routing)
o Understanding of industrial network architectures
Data & Integrations
o Data storage: relational (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), and big data platforms
o Integration patterns: REST APIs, event-driven systems (Pub/Sub, Solace PubSub+), streaming, API management
Security
o Implement security-by-design principles (threat modelling, encryption, API protection, secrets management)
o Manage authentication and authorization (OIDC, OAuth2, Okta, distributed identity systems)
DevOps & FinOps
o Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Cloud Build) with integrated testing and security scanning
o Use Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm) and manage configurations/secrets (Vault, Secret Manager)
o Containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
o Implement observability (Dynatrace, logging, metrics, tracing)
o Optimise cloud costs and resource usage
Development
o Proficiency in at least one programming language (code review, prototyping, technical analysis)
Soft Skills
o Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies
o Fluent in English (mandatory, international environment)
o Strong communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
o Analytical mindset with strong architectural decision-making skills
