Manual & Automation Testing Engineer (French speaker)
Description

Role description: We are looking for a French-speaking Manual & Automation Testing Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our software solutions by combining manual and automated testing practices throughout the development lifecycle.

 Important note: Please note that this is a hybrid position. Therefore, preference will be given to candidates who are currently located in Brașov or Bucharest, where our offices are based, or who are open to relocating to one of these locations.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end testing for user stories delivered within the Agile squad.
  • Collaborate with the team during Agile ceremonies and contribute to user story refinement.
  • Design and implement testing strategies covering manual, automated, and API testing.
  • Validate user stories against acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Create, maintain, and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute test campaigns.
  • Track testing progress and prepare test execution and closure reports.
  • Identify, log, monitor, and report defects using tools such as Jira, Octane, or similar platforms.
  • Automate suitable test scenarios to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Develop and execute load and performance testing scenarios.
  • Support regression testing activities to ensure application stability.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the business domain and technical environment to improve testing effectiveness.
Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Seniority required: minimum 3 years of software testing
  • Advanced French language skills (spoken and written).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, and API testing.
  • Strong background in manual testing, including test design, execution, and defect management.
  • Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Octane.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and software development processes.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business processes and application functionality.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather information from business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and QA team members.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

 

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB Certification.
  • Previous experience working on banking or financial services projects.
