Responsibilities

Context:

The primary mission of the quality assurance specialist for mainframe systems is to ensure the high quality of software solutions implemented across various applications within the core accounting domain.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the high quality of software solutions implemented across various applications within the core accounting domain.
  • Participate in or conduct multi-application and end-to-end testing.
  • Estimate the testing effort for upcoming projects.
  • Contribute to test execution and the creation of testing deliverables.
  • Propose enhancements to the testing process and its outcomes.
  • Write test strategies and plans.
  • Define test cases in XRAY based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify necessary test data for the test execution phase.
  • Execute tests and compile test reports.
  • Create and track defects in XRAY.
  • Identify and prioritize risks and warnings.
  • Communicate with all project team members, including developers, business analysts, managers, other QA members, and the Agile Master.
  • Participate in the maintenance of the testing environment.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of core banking products.
Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Knowledge of databases (DB2)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology (Kanban)
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with mainframe systems: MVS, ZoS, CICS, TSO, File Aid
  • Understanding of testing techniques
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Proficiency in French (written and spoken) at a B2 level
  • Previous experience in banking domain testing
  • Experience with any programming language
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning
  • Autonomous and proactive approach
  • Ability to give and receive feedback
