The main mission of our future colleage is to support the SAP S/4HANA (brownfield) implementation project in the Material Management (MM) domain. He/she will be directly reporting to the SAP Project Manager and the MM Business Process Owner.
oAnalyze current business processes and ensure alignment with SAP S/4HANA Material Management (MM) functionalities, covering areas such as procurement, inventory, warehouse management, invoice verification, and production consumption.
o Document business requirements and convert them into clear functional specifications for the implementation team.
o Collaborate with key operational stakeholders (procurement, logistics, production planning) to validate and optimize MM process flows.
o Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating outcomes, and reporting issues.
o Assist with data migration by validating master and transactional data relevant to MM (e.g., materials, suppliers, inventory).
o Participate in cut-over planning and provide post-go-live support to ensure smooth operational transition.
o Conduct end-user training and develop training materials for MM-related processes. Expected Deliverables Summary:
o MM Process Documentation: In-depth analysis of key Material Management processes (Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, Invoice Verification, Production), including As-Is vs. To-Be comparisons and process diagrams (e.g., BPMN).
o Functional Requirements (BRD): Clearly defined specifications for all MM workflows, including customization needs and SAP MM user roles and responsibilities.
o Testing & UAT Plan: Comprehensive test case definitions, preparation of test data, validation of results, and reporting of issues and corrective actions.
o Data Migration Support: Identification and validation of necessary master and transactional data, with reconciliation files and a final data migration verification report.
o Cut-over Planning & Go-live Support: Detailed cut-over schedule and operational checklists to ensure a smooth transition before and after go-live.
o Training & User Enablement Materials: Development of end-user manuals, quick reference guides, and delivery of documented training sessions.
o Progress & Evaluation Reporting: Regular updates on project progress, risk tracking, and recommendations for improving both processes and SAP system utilization.
Proven background in SAP ECC or S/4HANA MM implementation/upgrade projects, or, alternatively, 5+ years of hands-on experience in procurement, inventory, logistics, or supplier management. Business & Technical Skills:
o Strong ability to analyze and optimize complex business processes
o Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, formulas)
Solid command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Language Proficiency:
o English – required (advanced, written and spoken)
o French and/or Spanish – preferred (conversational) Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in cross-functional (business and IT) environments.
