Mission
The Product Leader (PL) is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by products and platforms while fostering team engagement, high-quality outcomes, and alignment with user needs. Acting as a key partner to the Product Owner (PO), the PL contributes expertise throughout the product lifecycle. Depending on the product's size, complexity, and delivery model, the PL may also take on Scrum Master responsibilities—ensuring adherence to Agile principles, fostering Agile culture, and guiding the team through chosen frameworks and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Constructively challenge and refine the Product Vision in collaboration with the PO.
- Ensure alignment of the product roadmap Domain Directors and other actors.
- Define and maintain the product release strategy with the PO.
- Lead and coordinate large-scale SAP implementation projects, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Identify and remove delivery obstacles across workstreams.
- Maintain team momentum and support continuous delivery improvements.
- Oversee SAP integration and implementation tasks when needed.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in both design and delivery practices.
- Promote and support Agile frameworks (Scrum or others), practices, and values across teams and portfolios.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies as needed.
- Support the framing phase of product development to maximize value creation.
- Act as liaison between the team and broader organization to ensure necessary skills and resources are in place.
- Motivate and instill an Agile mindset and culture within the team.
- Participate in solution selection aligned with IT architecture (in partnership with the PO and Solution Architect).
- Foster continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and best development practices.
- Help the team resolve blockers and facilitate consensus on complex issues.
- Coach the team in self-organization and encourage cross-functional collaboration.
- Shield the team from distractions and external disruptions.
- Guide the team in delivering high-value products and writing clear, concise user stories.
- Build Agile dashboards and oversee the delivery of Agile artifacts and key deliverables.
- Communicate progress regularly and clearly to stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of learning and iteration throughout development cycles.
- Provide coaching in organizational contexts where Agile practices are still being adopted.
Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading SAP projects.
- Proven experience managing Agile teams and high-impact projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP implementation projects.
- Deep understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and related modules.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.)—theory and practical application.
- Skilled in facilitation, team collaboration, and fostering team autonomy.
- Proven ability to drive value creation through iterative product development.
- Creative, analytical problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong leadership with a team-empowering attitude.
- Experience working in fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Fluent in English; French proficiency is a strong plus.
