Your role is to develop software applications according to the business needs being involved in all phases of SDLC based on Agile frameworks, be in permanent contact with the local application architecture team, assisting the product owner in making decisions.
- Understand, analyze, and validate business needs.
- Contribute to the breakdown and refinement of requirements in coordination with the Business (via Business Coverage when applicable), in support of the Product Owner.
- Participate in backlog monitoring and help prioritize requests within the relevant functional area.
- Ensure the clarity and quality of business requirements.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of business processes.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories with estimations and acceptance criteria, facilitating effective communication between the business and development teams.
- Draft functional analyses and related test cases, specifying changes and developments required in the application.
- Ensure that the delivered solution meets the defined requirements and addresses the identified business needs.
- Identify and assess potential business impacts of proposed solutions and help define appropriate action plans.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
- Share expertise in your functional area and provide ongoing support to the development and testing teams, ensuring that implementations align with business expectations.
- Graduate of a technical faculty (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Minimum 4 years of experience in COBOL programming
- Hands-on experience with Mainframe environments, including JCL and DB2
- Skilled in creating and designing functional and technical specifications, with the ability to analyze business and technical impacts
- Experience in drafting and implementing test plans and test scenarios
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Familiar with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Good command of English and French, both written and spoken
