Context :
The monitoring and logging engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining observability solutions including logging, monitoring and alerting in an on premise environment.
He/she designs, develops, and maintains, when required, internal tools interfaced with group tools. He/she ensures the availability and performance monitoring of production through a global view of operations impacting the on premise scope.
Main responsibilities:
Logging
- Ensure operational maintenance and lifecycle management (LCM) in an on-premise environment.
- Industrialize the management of logging infrastructures.
- Drive continuous improvement by adapting the architecture to meet evolving needs (on-premise).
- Implement end-to-end log collection, including log generation, collection, transformation, and indexing (on-premise).
- Produce documentation and deliver training for administrators and users.
Monitoring
- Industrialize the management of Zabbix, ILMT, and Discovery infrastructures.
- Develop and maintain tools integrated with Sysdig and Dynatrace.
- Drive continuous improvement by adapting the monitoring architecture to meet business needs.
- Support and implement dashboards and alerts in Zabbix, Sysdig, and Dynatrace.
- Produce documentation and deliver training for administrators and users.
- Participate in group follow-up and governance committees.
What we are looking for :
- Hands-on experience and know-how for: IT infrastructure, production operations management, quality standards, security
- Fluency in French and English
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team & strong organizational skills
- Ability to design and adapt processes & strong analytical skills
- Ability to define relevant performance indicators
- Ability to inspire others and drive engagement
Tools / Technologies:
- ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of logging and monitoring solutions, such as: Zabbix, NOI, ILMT, Discover, MonitoringNG, LAAS, Dynatrace, and Sysdig
- Knowledge of IT operations tools, such as SNOW, OCSP, Ansible, Git, Jira, and DSO
- Scripting languages, including Python, Perl, Shell, DSL, YAML, and TPL
- Web and query technologies, including CSS, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and DQL
- Office and collaboration tools, including PowerPoint, Visio, Confluence, and Power BI
- IBM Cloud, Linux, and Kubernetes
- DevOps practices
